    Guys, guys! Can’t you see? It’s a metaphor!

   I just read the first five chapters of 1 Timothy. That passage seems really shoehorned in there and just barely has anything to do with its surrounding script.
   I am doubting that it was put there originally and suspect that it was added by an ancient revisionist intent on enforcing a patriarchy in the face of a revolutionary religion. 

   TLDR: I call bullshit, and i call bullshit on so many other passage that im either an acute skeptical theologian, or a heretic.
